Easy Installation
Installation is easy, as you simply attach the two halves of the split cartridge seal over the shaft with eight shoulder bolts. Once it is installed, it works as a true cartridge seal for your pump, mixer or other rotating equipment. This ease of installation is just one of many great benefits of this Flex-A-Seal product.
All of the critical sealing components are contained within each half of the cartridge seal. This includes o-rings, faces and springs. You don’t have to worry about handling the lapped faces or them being chipped, scarred or cocked. You won’t have to handle any of these delicate components. That means no special tools, no glue, no shims and no measurements. Simply connect both halves of the cartridge seal and you are good to go!
Simple Impeller Adjustments
Another great aspect of the Flex-A-Seal Style 85 Split Cartridge Seal is that it is the only split seal that enables you to adjust the impeller without having to remove the seal from the shaft. You just have to reinstall setting clips, release the set screws and then adjust the impeller position. Once you retighten the set screws and remove the clips,
it is ready to use immediately with the new impeller setting.
