Cortech Engineering is hiring a Project Coordinator to join its growing family. This position is responsible for managing upwards of 20 concurrent, individual projects from the bid phase through closeout. Successful candidates will be highly organized, detail oriented, and can exercise sound business judgment. Within 30 days:
• Learn the fundamentals of positive displacement and centrifugal pump technology
• Learn the fundamentals of reading pump curves
• Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Within 60 days:
• Submit at least two bids without any major errors
• Complete at least three submittals/O&M manuals without any major errors
Within 120 days:
• Pass a proficiency test on mechanical and electrical concepts

Compensation: Depends on Experience

Major Job Functions
• Create preliminary bid packages, submittals, operation manuals, and other project-specific documents
• Prepare project summaries and close-out information
• Regularly communicate project status with customers, vendors, and sales staff
• Negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms with vendors
• Release items-to-procure to purchasing in order to fulfill project needs
• Verify inbound and outbound parts/assemblies for accuracy and proper functionality
• Other duties as assigned
Computer Skills
• Typing Speed: 45+ wpm
• Microsoft Excel: Intermediate (tables, basic formulae, cell referencing, etc.)
• Microsoft Word: Intermediate (formatting, mail merge, etc.)
• Microsoft Outlook: Intermediate
• PDF Editing: Intermediate
Traits and Attributes
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong oral and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and willingness to scrutinize all information
• Extreme sense of urgency
• High level of organizational ability
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound, independent judgment

• Knowledge of Six Sigma desired
• Travel: < 5% travel is expected—occasional single-day visits to local jobsites or tradeshows may be necessary • Employees may be expected to stand for extended periods of time when visiting offsite facilities
