San Francisco is one of the most populated cities in North America. The city’s municipal system serves billions of residents everyday. The main source of water for the city is from the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. It is located just east of the city, and 80% of the city’s water supply comes from it. That means that this reservoir alone provides water for about 2.6 billion Bay Area residents.
