The origins of Travaini Pumps USA began in Italy with Carlo Travaini. He was a tool shop chief in the turbine manufacturing industry, starting his own company in 1929—Costruzioni Meccaniche Carlo Travaini—which produced pumps and turbines under the brand name Pompetravaini Spa. The company was a leading pump supplier for the Royal Italian Navy during wartime. The company continued to grow and expand with headquarters all across the world.
Travaini Pumps USA was established in 1986 in Michigan City, Indiana, and later moved to its current location in Yorktown, Virginia. The U.S.-based manufacturing plant produces and sells Travaini pumps and engineered skid units.
